328 Support Services GmbH is the newly registered Engineering, Design, Customer support and third party Maintenance Organisation, headquartered at Oberpfaffenhofen, near Munich, Germany. The company embraces JETS GmbH, a stand alone company dedicated to Dornier 328 maintenance. 328 Support Services is committed to the long term future of the Dornier 328 Jet and 328 Turboprop. Part of the company’s strategy is to work towards returning the circa 60 parked Dornier 328 aircraft in Europe and the US.

The company was created in January 2006 as the new German subsidiary of the UK’s Corporate Jet Services Ltd, which purchased the former AvCraft Aerospace GmbH. It holds the type certificate of the Dornier 328 Jet and Turboprop aircraft plus the Dornier 428, and is carrying on the worldwide support of a fleet in excess of 200 aircraft. There are circa 60 Dornier 328 aircraft parked in the US and in Europe.

In addition to supporting the operational fleet, 328 Support Services provides Customisation and Maintenance services and Innovative Engineering solutions. It sees a strong market for the aircraft, which is able to perform a number of roles, including freighter, air ambulance and air surveillance as well as carrying fare carrying passengers.

The 328’s rugged performance and short runway performance, coupled with its excellent fuel efficiencies make it popular with the regional airline fraternity. 328 Support Services is also seeing increased interest from the business aviation fraternity – where the 328, with its spacious cabin, is unique in its class. The full business class ‘Envoy’ can accommodate 12 to 14 seats. Many of the circa 60 Dornier 328 aircraft parked in the US and in Europe.
